Why did you initially become involved with GFD?:
It was a great opportunity to lead a dynamic, all-risk, full service, combination fire agency within a mountain community.

Why do you stay involved/what do you enjoy about being with the GFD?:
Neighbors helping neighbors.

Is there a particular incident that is a highlight of your fire fighting/medical career?:
First due engine Captain at the Kingswood Lumber Yard structure fire, Columbus, OH.  Incident Commander on the Thompson Peak mountain rescue, Stanley, ID.  Incident Commander on the Sage Road wildland fire Ketchum, ID

What do you do when you aren't working with GFD/what are your hobbies?:
Husband, parent, alpine skiing, and trail riding on my dirt bike.

Young Men and Fire by MacLean

Favorite food:
Paella, a Mediterranean rice dish

Favorite expression:
"What could possibly go wrong?" 

Favorite topic of discussion:
Healthy forest issues, 100-feet defensible space state law, survivable space, etc.

Teton National Park, Jackson, WY
